Most of you will have probably seen this floating around the internet already (including me) but I decided to write about it none the less.
The 3D dog illusion is a brilliant eye-illusion to make and it works perfectly!
Basically, you print out the dog and fold it as explained on the worksheet (be sure to fold the head INVERTED though, or it will not work). It works better in color than in black and white, by the way!
What is the 3D dog illusion? When you have constructed the dog that just came running out of your printer, it's gaze will follow you like Sauron's eye follows the Ring of Power.
But the Awesome (yet creepy) thing about this dog is that it appears as though his entire head is moving!
Please note that you have to close one eye, or look through a camera.
This video will explain everything:
Or if you do not want to watch on such a small screen --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPRirj3W_X0
So having seen that (a few months back) I decided today that it was time to actually build one.
AND IT WORKS!!! :D So awesome!
Here are some pictures:
I didn't make a video myself because the one posted above shows how it works. My creepy little dog works exactly the same!
It even works when using two eyes! But you have to stand further away to see the illusion.
The brain is a wonderfull thing isn't it?
Here's a link to a forum where you can download the dog and get some tips:

So this blog is basically a collection of just about anything I feel like posting. It will be about stuff that I find Awesome! Varying from stuff in the news to a movie I saw or a game I played. It very well could be an awesome quote I heard or a new Lord Of the Ring/Star Wars statue I bought for my collection. Let's see what happens :) Ps: My English is probably not perfect. Feel free to point out my mistakes in the comment sections :) FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER --> @Gabelafastoe

Think Geek
For my second post I thought I would share an AWESOME website with all of you :)
http://www.thinkgeek.com/index.shtml
So basically it is this awesome web-store from the United States that sells all kinds of crazy, cool, funny but mostly awesome stuff.
All items come with hilarious but very extensive descriptions. It is a great website to browse around in and often laugh your arse off by just reading the product descriptions. Whoever made this site must have the best job in the world!
Here are some of my favorite products:

Here are some of my favorite products:
A Star Wars 'space slug' oven mitt
Which I guess is only funny if you have seen 'Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back'
(Which I believe should be enforced by law)
A special Math Clock wich has a unique way of telling you the time.
A 42 towel
If there ever was something I MUST have, that would be it.
(Never be without your towel again!)
(Seriously, watch 'The Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.' IT IS AWESOME)
Something I can imagine seeing in my sister's home later:
A bloody shower curtain
Creepy, but awesome
(Seriously, who would use this?)
A coaster
(That has to hurt)
A Star Trek pizza cutter
Even though I am more of a Star Wars fan than Star Trek, this is still very awesome
I saw the next one in a tiny shop in some city in either England or Germany (my brain is a mess sometimes)
Kitchen knife set
I hope my future wife has a sense of humor so that I can actually buy one of these awesome knife holder sets.
(among other crazy stuff from this website)
It is also available as a pen holder =)
Magic wand
It is magic because you can light candles with it with a simple flick of your wand (no not THAT wand.. the one in the picture. You dirt minded person!)
(I suppose it won't work on a bonfire hûh? )
And last,but not least:
A freshly risen Garden Zombie
I don't think I have ever seen something as awesome as this!
This is the BEST house warming gift you can give to a friend or relative :)
I guess you won't need a guard dog with one or two of these in your garden.
During twilight (as in this picture above) it looks pretty real actually. Not that I have met many zombies to compare this one with, but I suppose this is what a zombie would look like :)
If this were in my garden, it would scare the crap out of me at night :p
That's all for now folks!
Keep watching my blog, because I shall be posting a lot more in the next few weeks!

The Witch King
Let us try to make my first blog post, shall we? :)
So the reason I started on this blog was simply to have a blog. Sounds silly I know, but it seemed like something fun to do. So the first item on my posting-agenda is a statue I recently bought to add to my collection of Lord Of The Rings statues. I mainly collect Star Wars stuff (Anything Star Wars related really, not just statues.) but recently I started on a Lord of the Rings statue collection. And this new addition really is my masterpiece.
<-- The Witch King
So as you may or may not know, the Witch King of Angmar is the leader of the Nazgûl, from Tolkien's masterpiece: The Lord of the Rings. I think he is the most bad-ass villain in the entire triology. Sauron has got nothing on him.
This statue, made by Sideshow WETA, is about 42 centimeres high.
42.. coinsidence? I think not!
Anyway, it was made with a very good eye to detail. The statue is beautifully sculpted and painted by the people of Sideshow.
I was extremely lucky to even get a signed edition by the actor who played the Witch King in the Lord of the Rings films : Lawrence Makaore.
(picture below)
I consider myself to be very lucky to have claimed such a wonderfull price :)
I'm pretty sure a lot of people will not understand why I spend the greater part of my money on this sort of stuff. I suppose you have to be a collector yourself to understand that other people can be extremely happy with something that you might think as worthless, or at least not worth the price I payed for this statue here.
But regardless of what people think, I love collecting both Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, and nobody can convince me otherwise!
Before I forget! I made a tribute to the Nazgûl in one of the many video's I made and posted to youtube.

And now my friends, I leave you with a picture of the Morgul Lord's helmet, and a few quotes concerning him :)
Peace out!

'Fool! No man can kill me!'
'Do you not know Death when you see it, old man?'
'He is the Lord of the Nazgûl, the greatest of the 9.'
